Pregnant But No Symptoms

pregnancy diabetes

Pregnant but no symptoms, it could be worrying if you are positive that you are pregnant but don’t experience any major changes or symptoms.  The fact is that women respond to pregnancy in different ways. While many will experience exhaustion, breast tenderness, heartburn or morning sickness during the first trimester, some may be pregnant with no symptoms at all. There is absolutely no reason to think that you will experience nausea during the entire first trimester. In fact, some women don’t feel sick during their pregnancy and this can absolutely be normal.

Also, other women won’t feel any major sign of pregnancy until they are about six weeks pregnant.  It should never be a concern if you don’t have the regular pregnancy symptoms unless you had them but they suddenly disappear within the first trimester.

Pregnancy But No Symptoms- Is it Possible?

It is actually fairly common for women to not notice any signs or symptoms of pregnancy in the first few weeks or month despite popular belief. Women experience pregnancy in different ways and because of this, some women will not experience some of the common pregnancy symptoms like bloating, gas, food craving, nausea, and morning sickness. The truth is, the most common symptoms are actually a feeling of fatigue and it is common for some women not to notice this. It is therefore very possible to have a pregnancy but no symptoms.

When You Are Not Sure of Your Pregnancy

You will be in one of two situations most times when you think you are pregnant but still can’t observe any symptoms: you’ve had a positive home pregnancy kit test but still need to see a doctor or you are going through the so-called “two week wait” after ovulation but before your menstrual period.  As hard and confusing as it is to be in any of these two situations, the best cause of action is to wait while taking care of yourself in the meantime. You will soon be able to able to authoritatively confirm- or not- your pregnancy very soon.

The Doctor Has Confirmed Your Pregnancy

In some situations, it is quite possible for your doctor to confirm your pregnancy but you still don’t have symptoms.  This might not be an expression of the fact that you won’t get any unpleasant symptoms such as craving or bloating. Some women have the tendency to mistake pregnancy symptoms for everyday feelings.  Some instances include having a larger appetite or more energy.

Regardless of the state of your pregnancy or whether or not you are seeing signs of pregnancy, always keep your appointment with your doctor for prenatal checkup.  This is to make sure your baby is developing in the right way. Make sure you see your doctor anytime you see unusual signs like sharp pains or bleeding. Most times, your pregnancy will go on fine and you will soon start to grow baby bump and feel your baby kicking.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common cause of pregnant but no symptoms. Most women who have this condition will have no signs or only minor symptoms of pregnancy. Though they may occasionally notice things like breast soreness, morning sickness, or hunger pains they, however, won’t be as severe as with most expecting moms. Therefore if you have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and do get pregnant, you shouldn’t be too surprised if you don’t see any symptoms. This doesn’t indicate that something is wrong with you or the baby. It is important you talk to your doctor about this condition.
